AOC Monitor Display Not Working

Is your AOC display not working or malfunctioning? Monitors not working are generally a sign of a defective video card or an improper graphics driver. However, sometimes, monitors fail for other reasons.

If your AOC monitor is not displaying an image, here are a couple of things you can do to troubleshoot your PC build to see why your image isn’t displaying.

Is Your AOC Monitor Properly Powered

This may seem like an easy fix, but it’s often overlooked – check your power cable, power strip, and even the outlet that it’s plugged into just to rule out that those aren’t the issues.

Most modern monitors use some sort of energy-saving technology, so if there’s no signal, they may appear to be off – but there should be an indicator light somewhere on the model.

Check to see if it’s powered.

• If there’s a standby light when the monitor is plugged in, can you toggle the power to see if it tries to change power states?
• Do you see an error of any kind when it turns on?
• Do you have any other devices you can plug in?
• Does the monitor work when they are plugged in instead?

If the power is working to everything else, but the AOC display problems, it could be the power cable for your AOC monitor. See if replacing the AOC Power Cable fixes the issue. You can call or contact AOC to get a replacement power cable.

Do Your HDMI / DVI Cables Work?

If your monitor seems to be receiving power, but no signal is provided when plugged in, you could have a frayed video cable.

If you wiggle the cable, does anything happen? Have you used the cable with another device and had it work? Is there a visible error being displayed on the AOC monitor?

Do you have another cable to try in its place? If your AOC monitor supports VGA, DVI, or HDMI, try a different type of cable to see if your cable or port is damaged.

You can easily buy these cables at most electronics manufacturers.

If replacing a cable fixes the issue, discard the old cable and use the new one.

Try Using Another Display

Do you have another monitor, TV, or other display that supports the same plugs your computer or laptop has? Try plugging those in to your computer instead of the AOC monitor.

Do you get a response from the TV when you’re on the correct channel? If so, your monitor may be broken or faulty.

You should reach out to your retailer if your monitor is still under warranty, or reach out to AOC to try to receive a replacement.

Graphics Card Problem

If your graphic card has multiple output ports on it, try a different port for your cable to see if the issue is the port. Sometimes, whether you’re on AMD or Nvidia, one of your outputs will fail. If this clears the problem, contact your retailer or manufacturer to try to get a refurbished card.

Sometimes, a faulty or out-of-date driver can cause graphics issues as well. If you’re on a desktop and you have an integrated graphics output, try plugging into that output and updating your video card’s drivers.

If you’re on a laptop, try using your native screen and updating your graphics drivers as well as your chipset drivers.
